is a collection including 24 poems of the Yuan Dynasty, 26 poems of the Ming
Dynasty and 51 poems of the Qing Dynasty. The unique charm of Chinese
traditional poetry is fully demonstrated in the form of contrast between Chinese and English,
supplemented by annotations on the important contents of the poems. The author
chooses poems with different themes, such as war poems, farewell poems, poems
chanting things and wishes, scenery lyrics, nostalgic epic poems, landscape
pastoral poems and poems expressing feelings on the spot. These poems describe
the life of the upper class as well as the life of the ordinary people.
